Bloody Bookworm

Turn the page, read through not what you see,

Skip a line and miss out a possible memory,

Bend the bind and scrape the cover,

Pass me down onto another,

White out a word you wish not see,

Toss me into your fireplace to keep your coldness warm,

I will be imprinted into your mind forever,

Like an infectious bookworm.

Scratching at the back of your brain

Inhale fumes of your rotten mistakes

Hear me burning to escape, driving you insane

Will not rest until i am free

From the bookcase where you hide me
