Blink of the Eye
2-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-20-22-24
So on And so on the world spins bye
My babies are young men in a blink of a eye.
I wish they were still amazed by lighting bugs in jars.
I wish they still had to hear me sing the song about the stars.
Soon they will leave my nest
Soon on my heart their heads won't rest
If I could stop time on its tracks .
If I could take just one thing I would want to take back
It would be every moment I had with them By my side.
I would watch with wonder and never blink my eyes
