Blinding Fog

Once in a while You will meet a guy who will make you smile He will blind you with a fog A pink sweet smelling smog But don't let it block your view First make sure the love is true That he wants you and you alone He will protect you like a stone Because when you get blinded by the smoke You won't see his hands reach up about to choke And just when you realize what he's doing With someone else he is already screwing But not all are like the above You will know when it is true love There will be no smoke in your sight Only, his soft lips, kissing you goodnight...

Jen, you express well the foggy, misleading intentions of one who is not truthful or loyal. And, yes, "You WILL know when it is true love." Great poem! Carolyn
