Blinded By the Light

blinded by the light so i couldnt see the dark
surrounded in the night yet focused on the spark
couldnt feel the cold so embelished by the heat
my soul so easily sold my perception in defeat
my hunger for a heart swallowed whole my pride
needles felt so sharp i crumble deep inside
now surrounded by the sun all i see is black
my hunger now undone the tide is ebbing back
a lost soul i remain searching for a home
in a world i disdain and a heart made of stone
no more can i splinter searching for a sun
endless days in winter my bitter days are done
