Blind Poet

I hear the world is beautiful
trees, grass, insects, landscape
people with eyes praise them
but why are some of them sad?

Pretty women, pretty babies
roam the surface of the earth
I hear there are nice films too
why are some people bored?

I wish I had eyes to see wonders
those good things I would enjoy
I tell you, my life would be a joy
Nothing would make me sad

If those with eyes to see do not see
How much would the blind not see?

If the blind were to interpret the world from the prism of our blindness they would indeed be in total darkness, but if their blindness opens them up to all we do not see or care to see, then clearer thoughts and hearts than us do they have:) Amitiés
