Blind Date
A glance
To far to just perchance
He noticed, such a bold entrance
To long -
A baited circumstance
So sharp as if to be a lance
Not me
A look beyond the tree
Awkward as it seemed to be
To hide -
A face behind a sheet
An answer much to kind for thee
Don’t linger
Nary lift a finger
Concluded that he wouldn’t ring her
To Ugly -
Rose a thought turned hinder
A tiny flame, now just a cinder.
