Blessings
I stopped to count my blessings today
Thinking of the many things I needed to say
In this life, the Lord has richly blessed me
From the list below, I know you’ll see
Thank you Lord for…
The health you have given
The car I have driven
My family so dear
And for keeping them near
My job that has been a way
To fulfill my dreams each day
My house with its coziness
A love to end my loneliness
My friends who love me still
The happiness that I feel
My poetry expressing my feelings
Helping with my heart’s healing
Salvation that was freely given
A home someday up in heaven
