Blessings

For every pain filled night I spent

locked in that prison cell,

God gave me one more reason

to believe all would be well.

He gave me beautiful mornings

with the sun warm on my face.

He showed me the wonderous glory

of His mercy, love and grace.

He gave me soothing dreams at night

of how life somedy would be.

Beyond the cold, dark prison walls

in the land of the brave and free.
