Blessed With a Curse

Sinful from conception, Defiled at time of birth. Nameless, isolated, naked We were brought into this earth. Lifeless from the start; Born into a hearse. Destined for perdition— A condescending curse. The vulgarity of existence, Obscene reality. Inconspicuously blessed, A sure fatality. Seeking virtuous conformity, A title for our own, The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost Serve as the keystone. The need to be absolved, The fate to be reversed, Hopelessly waiting pardon In prosaic verse. Drowning our transgressions, In water, we are immersed. In the name of the Triune God, Deliver us from this curse.
