Blessed, Kept and Covered

walk in the ways of Christ 
receive His blessing 
step with the promises of God
relieve that stressing 

blessed, kept and covered 
by Jesus's sacred blood 
blessed, kept and covered 
by God's perfect love

the removal of our sins 
due to Jesus's crucifixion
the word of God spoken over us 
a divine benediction

blessed, kept and covered 
by Jesus's sacred blood
blessed, kept and covered 
by God's perfect love 

God wants to prepare us 
for the realities of life 
God wants to equip us
to deal with incoming strife 
He wants us to get ready for the new 
on the horizon 
to let go of the old and to Him
keep our eyes on 

now living for what's coming to be 
On the precipice of greatness claiming victory

blessed, kept and covered 
by Jesus's sacred blood 
blessed, kept and covered 
by God's perfect love 

the removal of our sins because  of 
Jesus's crucifixion 
the word of God spoke over us 
a most divine benediction 

a declaration of love 
from our Heavenly Host 
a proclamation delivered 
by the Holy Ghost
