Blame But Yourself For Such a Treachery
Blame but yourself for such a treachery,
For retaliating and repeating the same sad symphony.
Betrayal, Betrayal, isn’t it in your eyes
That lies that tragedy?
Blame but yourself for soothing sighs
With sleepless nights and endless cries.
Denial, Denial, you failed to see
What I worked hard to emphasize.
What God had drawn for you and me
Was greatly torn and tortured glee
Trial, Trial, it has fled,
Feigned forlorn friendship had to flee.
The power of trust that has been shed,
And all the lies that have been said
Brought you into lasting lust and rusting rage
That came to claim while you were in bed.
Blame but yourself for this rage
That has come to grow with age,
Betrayal, Betrayal, you have been blind,
Tearing up the crucial page.
I’ve been helplessly trying to find
A way to get u off my mind.
Trial, Trial, set me free,
Never was I meant to cleave and bind.
Why have you chosen the pronoun “she”
Like escaping a sting of bee?
Denial, Denial, in front of you
I stand steady, here’s the key.
If you had gotten to know what’s true,
I would’ve had the guts to rue,
Betrayal, Betrayal, nothing to blame you for;
About love, you haven’t got a clue.
