Blame

Do you blame me for loving him?
With a touch so loving and tender
A kiss I yearn for constantly
How could I not surrender?

Do you blame me for loving him?
With the words of love he’s spoken
A dream to only disappear
If only I had woken.

Do you blame me for loving him?
His promises I took to heart
I should have listened to my head
It told me we should part.

I blame myself for loving him
My heart unto him bound
Tied so strong I can’t release
Until I am put in the ground.
