Blades of Grass
Like Blades of grass
I will bend in the breeze
Because I’d rather die standing
Than to live on my knees
I will take a bath
In a Hurricanes sneeze
Just to block its path
As it rips up the trees
Like Blades of grass
I can grow in the shade
Although you block the sun
I can tell when it fades
Only the strong can grow
When its just the moonlight
Giving off a glow
In the blackest of nights
Like Blades of grass
I will dampen the sound
Of every step you take
As you trample the ground
You think your enormous weight
Will be keeping me down
But as you up the stakes
It become's more confound
