Blackness

Why am I always portrayed as this beautiful thing?
I want to bring frightening thoughts
And see you shiver at my name
I want to take you far away
And kill your innocent thoughts
I want to become your best friend
And destroy your master plots
I want to see you cry a river
So that I may make a storm
I want to see the light quiver
And the darkness be reborn
I want to live a painful life
Not to bring beauty to all
I am the blackness that roams your mind
I am the blackness that stalks your halls
I am the blackness that kills you inside
I am the blackness that saved your dying soul
I am the blackness that will swallow you whole.
