Blackest Rose

senses flee a body still
clouds of grey destroy this life
child unknown its mother slain
a dying oath of lasting pain

feet pause to view the light
where feelings awaken beyond sight
an accidental touch doth break the keep
for undying love my blackest rose

Vividly portrayed Ralph! Grey clouds -that which spell doom. It's unfortunate how many children grow up without knowing where they came from. Well written poem!

This one had good flow to it...Enjoyed reading it this afternoon..It has a feeling to sadness to it with the mother being slain while pregnant..Reminds me of that Peterson who killed his wife while she was pregnant..Thanks for the kind review of my work..Sara
