Black Rain

The jungle is awake and alive. Show me the ways I’ve been missing. Teach me how to be a butterfly. So I can come out of hiding? My wings are in need of some fixing. Lately I can’t feel anything, Besides genuine hate. Toward everyone around me. I need someone to shelter me. To keep out the rain. It’s overwhelming. You told me you cared. What were your true intentions? Covering me in your blankets, Won’t cover up your fingerprints. Your drunken words hypnotize my sober mind. You told me you could ease the pain. Can I keep a glacier from falling? Nothing but the mountains remain. Make me feel something. Even if it hurts, Make me feel anything.
