Black Lies
Black lies are what they are. Those anecdotes you tell.
My mission is to judge not, but I know you all too well.
Deception is your motivation. No remorse, nor regret, nor guilt.
Your tongue should be charged with manslaughter, for all the truths you've killed.
Covered by a blanket of false emotion. Deceiving to the naked ear.
Terror stains your lips and your mouth remains in fear,
but that doesn't withhold the delivery of your black lies,
in which usually sound sincere.
Its a shame that ones mind can corrupt ones soul.
Blasting echoes of stories that should remain untold.
Behold! the midnight glare of your black lies,
strangling the life out of all honesty.
To think, you would ever hold yourself accountable. not even possibly.
'Cause those black lies you tell are what you embody.
They epitomize you.
Define you.
Defy you.
Deny you.
Black lies are what you seek to refine you,
and in the shadows of those lies will be the souls of those who have idolized you,
.... and it will never be ME.!
