Black Heart, So Cold

Black heart so cold, lonely, and empty
How can a black heart tell me he loves me?
When a black heart doesn’t love the one above thee
Please black heart, see the writing on the wall
Realize that it is I who catches you every time you fall
These words I whisper to you, come one come all
There is a fate worse than a black heart that is incapacitated
It’s the internal struggle quite underrated
And I know you hate it
When I speak of truths you should’ve already known
As a fetus in your mother’s womb until you’re grown
And then a carcass in your tomb
Love has to be given as well as shown
But if so then why is your black heart still alone and cold?
Look at your life and all of the things you’ve done
Have you ever tried to live right and give your life reason?
The sins you’ve committed are forgiven
Don’t ever forget it
Now you must answer to man
And I know you regret it
But breaking laws in the sight of man
Is like having bad credit
To them you will always be the bad seed
You must give an account for every deed
Stop blaming your parents, the system, and society
Take responsibility because if the choice was left to me
I would never say two words to you
But I’m compelled to get through to you
I love you until my dying breath
So, while you’re away from me don’t stress
Do you know that God will carry you?
I will be most honored to marry you
But a black heart can’t be in my life
I refuse to be a black heart’s wife
My lips may turn black if I kiss you
So black heart, please make a change
Your life you must rearrange
If not, I won’t make it a priority
To elevate your mind with a love as strong as mine
In the core of your soul lies the truth of your issues
But you must let God take full control
Or else I will surely miss you
