Black Diamond Night

A renovated house I have now, new floors and tiles
Everything is messy around, and mom is settling the files

I go by my window sill, just to see what’s outside
I see a falling star, oh my! Did it just glide?

The stars and the moon, are shining brightly in the night
But then I see something more beautiful than the night

Something was reflecting, off the surface I saw
Lights in all directions, slight but it made me awe

I usually compare the diamonds, with the stars in the night
But these rays were beautiful, that reflected off our new granite

Diamonds hidden beneath it seemed, yeah! Why not, it might
Transparent after all it was, our new black diamond granite!
