Black and White

Black and White

I went to white on black to write
in lieu of the frequent black on white.

No longer do the colors glimmer or glow
they salt and pepper the feared unknown.

Deep gray clouds fill the sky opened wide
as curled white edged puffs cling on for the ride.

Once the sky was filled with indigo sapphire blues
now, no longer remains any shades or hues.

Shadows hide the pale, white sun
as day awaits the dark night sky to come.

I closed my eyes with no glimmer of light
and boldly go into the night.
