Black and White

Your fingers on the keys in the dark The music rides softly, then loud Thoughts I’m thinking aren’t allowed As your fingers play on the keys in the dark I feel I’ve missed the mark And I forget that I’m resolved I vowed I wouldn’t get involved And then your fingers on the keys in the dark. I don’t want to feel the spark Yet you smile and again I forget You don’t know my struggle I bet As your fingers play on the keys in the dark. The keys are silent in the dark You walk away, closing the piano There is something you still don’t know Your fingers are playing on my mind… in the dark…
