Black and Gold
Black and gold,
Black and gold,
Will forever burn fruitfully in my soul.
Young and old,
True fans of the New Orleans Saints.
We have been through the storm.
We have had to mourn,
But a new way of life is about to be born.
Black and white,
We’ve fought the fight,
And won!
No more being the laughing stock,
A new chapter in our lives has begun.
Red, white, and blue,
The time is due,
To show us respect,
To recollect and rebuild
The Heartbeat of America.
Yes, people claimed to be scared of us.
The people of the N.O. want the U.S.,
And the world to know,
That we are the best,
That we passed the test.
Black and gold
Floods our hearts’ bayou,
And to our dear Saints,
We love you!
Black and gold
Is in our soul,
We’ll march with you in the Super Bowl,
And back to the Superdome,
Our own home,
With a trophy in our hands,
Because of diligence,
And favor of the big man.
Black and gold,
Black and gold,
Will forever burn fruitfully in my soul.
