Black

Black.
The color of darkness,
The color of evil,
The color of death.
But, why?
I, for one,
Find black to be beautiful.
It is mysterious,
As there is much to be hidden
Behind a black curtain;
It is empowering,
As black outlines tend
To bring out the best in colors.
So, why, I ask,
Is such an endearing color
Associated with such
Horrific words?

nice thoughts to ponder in this piece...enjoyed the read...i wonder too why black if for death and white for weddings...white is blank, winter snow, cold...why for something beautiful like a wedding? enjoyed this write of yours :)
