Bittersweet Memories
Remembering all the days of yore,
brings me back to the way I felt before-
I knew not that I would swim and drown,
or all the anguished sadness I had in store.
But through the heartache and the mental pain,
I realized that good knowledge I have gained,
for bittersweet memories have remained.
When my good senses had come around,
I knew a new perspective I had found-
I’d be crying in my sleep nevermore,
when my lover died in accidental vain,
bittersweet memories have remained.
