they fell
                     for our freedom
               far away from loved ones
             sons and fathers of our nation
                           lifeless  ~
             celebration mingled with tears
                      fallen humanity;
                   death that should not
                         have been

It is sad when we stop and think about our young men and ladies who have died in a combat zone or while in the military and not even in a combat zone. Congrats on this winner. Way go go. Sara
