Bite Your Tongue

Don't say a word.
Even though you want to.
I know that was offending.
But we can't say anything.
Just do what we're used to
Bite your tongue.
You know it don't hurt much anymore.
No way it can with all the scars.
So keep it to ourself and keep moving on.

Sad to think we have to cope with the scars and bite our tongues when an injustice is done. That's just how it was in one of the offices where I worked. Keep still or you're out. Very interesting poem, Ashley!
