Bird Talk

Bird Talk My little green friend often stops by Just to get things off his chest It's not always easy up in the sky So, he needs to get away from the rest Of the other parrots in his flock (Technically rose-winged parakeets) Sometimes he feels they tease and mock Making his efforts seem like defeats. Overall, they're quite a good group But he's an inward sensitive soul And needs some time alone to recoup So, I lend an ear and try to console. We chit chat back and forth for a while In the early hours of the day I imagine I see a big parrot smile Before his wings spread and he flies away. Molly Moore

They are a very noisy pest species in Honolulu! But, like a beautiful gossip, people love to see them . . . .
