Bird Bath

BIRD BATH

Late afternoon has arrived,
I hear happy sounds so clear,
These come each day in hot weather
Bringing me chirps of good cheer.

Birds are playing in the bird bath
They drink and splash water around
Merrily chirping with pleasure,
As water drops fall to the ground.

The sparrows are light brown in shade,
While parrots are strikingly bright.
Pink galahs surround my bird bath,
All make such a colourful sight.

Watching these bird's is enchanting,
But soon they will all fly away
Free to seek other adventures,
May they brighten another's day.
