Binding Emotions

My tears are no longer mines.
They belong to her, only her and no other.
She is all I know in this dark world of love.
I still cry daily with vivid images of her.
She haunts everything I know when it comes to love.

I guess falling in love with a ghost is double sided.
But to me it’s safer. Magical kisses felt of cold lips.
Dagger like eyes piercing my every beat of my heart.
Beautiful skin with a hollow shadow.
She only speaks in whispers saying never love me.
For if you do, I will destroy you.

Many nights I held myself with tears falling from my cheeks.
Looking at the clock waiting for her to come to me.
2 in the morning was our time to make love and dance.
Then she would disappear chanting in a whisper don’t love me.
Now I, stuck in my emotions wondering on which one to hold on to.

I love the honesty and the brutality in your poems

This poem has a gentle sweetness that makes it anything but sad. The line that got me was the line indicating that falling in love with a ghost was safer. I have not found that to be true, but I have not done it, so this might be true indeed.
