Beyond You
Can there be more joy
in heaven or earth
than to ease the pain
of a quaking heart,
to brush a smile on an innocent face
that might not learn how to laugh.
Help the dying, the broken, the wounded, the sick
with a word, with an act, show you care.
Be committed to kindness, committed to love,
giving to others, yourself to share.
