Beyond the Rainbows End
Endless torment
It dwells inside
Strong winds rush like a current
And I am done trying to hide
My head starts to pour
Weight becomes too much
"Keep going, please. There is much to live for"
But I ignore the plea, I wont listen to such
For a broken flute cannot be played
And a faulty oven cannot bake
A lazy slob cant be paid
Staring at everything around me, it's all too fake
This inner guilt has built for far too long
And the thought is here now too, please flee
The time has come to end my pitiful song
And I dont know how to continue, you see
Then I halt, hoping to lessen my load
Why should I continue to twist and bend?
I must continue with life and forge my own road
Before I earn my own way beyond the rainbows end
