Beyond the poet
A poets fluid pen
creates memories of when
A scribing of facts and fiction
Every word written from conviction
Poets are a sensitive breed
Writing clusters of precious seeds
Forever opening fertile minds
In journeys that magically unwind
They see the world and all its color
Enlarging life or making it smaller
Centuries have proven the poets worth
Wrapping words around us as our girth
Every ear enjoys music poetically sung
A universal language touches all as one
We are a budding society standing tall
Leaving legacies for the future of one and all
