Beyond the Past Horizon

If I would only listen to the wisdom in my words. Instead of justifying everything thats so absurd. I'd understand the depths of what my soul is trying to say. Then maybe I could find a simpler place for me to stay. A little peace and quiet long enough to hear the song. To answer all those questions to what's right instead of wrong. Then maybe just once in my life I could say now that I won. If I could only see my way beyond the past horizon. Now the dawning of the day is asking for revision. As your hoping somewhere in your heart you make the right decision. To bring to light what you have hoped to finally come your way. And all the sunlight shining down just does'nt turn to grey. Trusting what has not yet come, sometimes takes all you've got. As you sit there on the sideline, awaiting your next shot. The ghosts that linger from your past, haunting you today. It's time to have them all be cast somewhere far, far away.

this reminds me somewhat of the other poem I just left. You have some sad ghosts, my friend. You are right, I don't know how this one got past me either. Gosh, I was able to see two new ones of yours tonight. Awesome.

nice one, robert! it's hard to get rid of those "ghosts that linger from your past" - you've expressed this so well!
