Beyond the Night...

...“You have a great gift,” she said
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
As I looked into her eyes
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
As I turned to walk away
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Telling her goodbye; thinking to myself
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
And a great sorrow I have, also
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A great sorrow inside...
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
A heart that longs, that longs for life
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
But a life that falls, unable to find
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
To break these chains, that keep me tied...

No answers, no cures, no hope, I sighed

“A great gift,” she said, as I closed my eyes

Someday, I thought, in another time...
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Someday, I thought, for some other lives
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Someday, I thought, beyond the night ~
