Beyond That Boundary Wall
Thinking of pastures and the playground,
Animals and the birds around.
Dying to meet his friends.
Who have been declared unlucky,
For not getting a chance to study.
With no love and no hate expression,
With a notebook and a pencil in possession.
He is lost in his dream world.
Of handsfree cycling and hoop rolling,
Of laughing, jumping and tree climbing.
He is scribbling hard and even harder,
To make himself even more smarter.
Concentrating on those unknown facts
Which seem to be meaning less.
And of course strange and pointless.
He always enjoyed playing schools'
When in school he hated those rules.
How he wishes to drop that pencil
And tell them that he wanted to play
With the toys made of wood and clay.
He is trying to play with a number
But seems to be lost in a slumber.
His heart beats beyond that Boundary Wall
Pretending to be happy in a class
Thinking of the exam he has to pass.
