Beware the Zombie

beware the zombie in your bed
with morning smiles and pillow head
it looks alive but is really dead
beware the zombie in your bed

beware the zombie in your car
even as it drives afar
guided by the navman star
beware the zombie in your car

beware the zombie on your couch
lazing with an evening slouch
even though it's warm to touch
beware the zombie on your couch

beware the zombie in your bath
it plays with water and makes you laugh
the jokes come thick and quick and fast
but beware the zombie in your bath

beware the zombie in your life
was once your husband, was once your wife,
taken from you by another's knife,
beware the zombie in your life

if you love a zombie I pity you
for there is one thing dark but true
to love a zombie when you knew
means sadly that you're a zombie too

A very clever verse form with words that ring of truth! The zombies are everywhere, and we who love them pay the price. Truly original in thought and style, Mark!
