Beware, My Brother

son,
look before you step:
the globe's ill -
brother,
the great dove's ready
to fly without perch'ng!
the world's ill -
soon, a life goat
shall be eaten up by a dead rat
’tis miracles unheard off
expect that which is
the most unusual
the world's pregnant -
shall he beget
a son, a daughter,
or a cold toad
of the old pond?
ask no questions -
the world's dreams
come, crashing!
