Between Yesterday and Tomorrow
Yesterday has faded away
Tomorrow is an unknown day
One past, the other to come
Twixt the two we dance and mourn
Yesterday holds some mystery
Tomorrow’s hope is clarity
Today, both is out of reach
No matter how hard we seek
Yesterday brought laughter and pain
Tomorrow may bring both again
Filter the past through a sieve
Today is the time to live
Tomorrow never gives a clue
What is in store for me or you
Yet, there’s no cause for alarm
When sheltered in the Lord’s strong arms
Don’t worry about tomorrow
Each day has its joys and sorrows
Yesterday is o’er and gone
Today is gift on its own
