Between the Cracks

Between the cracks

Sometimes I fall between the cracks….
I seem to get lost and can’t find my way back.
The sorrow envelopes of a life that has passed,
Take a deep breath and hope it’s not my last.
Sometimes I fall between the cracks……..
I look all around yet can’t see where I’m at.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
I don’t want to retreat though I know that I must.
Sometimes I fall between the cracks……..
I can’t see what I have, just what I lack.
The light seems to fade and then I can’t see where to go?
The past crept up on me, now the future won’t show.
Sometimes I fall between the cracks……..
Then I just wish someone would cut me some slack.
I try to tell myself it will be okay.
Just hold your head up and keep fear at bay.
Sometimes I fall between the cracks……..
I just thought I was running along with the pack.
I tell myself that all I need is love.
Just pray from some help from the man up above……..
