Between Friends
I told you words you wouldn't want to hear
It scares you, for the truth is difficult to bear.
You're special, please don't get me wrong,
Just want you to realize you are worth more than any million bucks.
The space between us is getting miles and miles.
I wanted to talk but this pride is made of wall of tiles.
We are friends for so long, our bond must be tight as rope.
But why, such a failure to understand each other now, I am losing hope.
I know and you know, that my words are sometimes harsh
Unacceptable and bold, but truly real.
You said I wouldn't understand
'cause I've never been in love and hurt such grand.
My feelings hurt when you told them you are grateful,
But not a single word for me, you know I'll accept even hateful.
Your silence, my silence is keeping us apart.
I'll say it now, "I miss you", wish we could go back and have a fresh start.
inspired by a friend's confession,
thanks for trusting me.
