Better Off Now
I thought I'd never lose you,
(Obviously quite wrong),
I thought I'd never be over you,
(Again, I've been proved otherwise),
I thought we'd never laugh again,
I'd never see the light,
But when I looked into his eyes,
I realized he was right.
I'm better off without you,
I'm better on my own,
I'm better with a new love,
And now the light is shone.
I see that all the talk I heard,
Though painful, was the truth,
I may as well get over you,
And live out all my youth.
I'm better off without you,
I'm better on my own,
I'm better with a new love,
I don't have to be alone.
I'm better off now.
