Better Next Time

Happiness I'll never have
Love for me will never last
No one knows the pain I feel
Just a repeat of the past

I let down my guard
When I should have held strong
You fooled me into thinking
Maybe you loved me all along

You found someone new
Someone you could use for play
With no words to me
You'd have eventually walked away

I'll never love another
Unless I know it's true
Hopefully this next time
He'll be much better than you.
