Better I Gave My Life To You Lord

Am grateful to the lord
That I get to cross
This year to the next
Complete
What can I ask more

There were ups and downs
This year wasn't an easy one
There were temptations
Some of which I fell on
Survived their inside
Came out alive
It was him not because of me

Some I passed willing to take part on
Tried to look aside but my disires got locked
Lost interest in my interest
I wondered what was going on
Then searched for because
I was told all along
I was not alone
I was covered in danger zones
Spiritual and physical
Sometimes he'd let me go on my own
On plain lands
Where he new I'd never fall

Where would I be without him
Who would close my ears
When death was calling
Who would be my shelter when
Challenges were raining
Who can have that authority
even when committed sins
He didn't take that as the reason

To neglect me
Instead he waited for opportunity
To Make me realise the wrong
 I did
So he'd forgive me
Who owns that heart
that kind of heart
That love
NO one other than the one who died on my behalf

Thank you God
It's better I gave my life to you Lord
You stripped me off
Fears I had
For flaws I committed
Before I was yours
Restored my hope amongst doubts
To stand strong
And propagate
Through 2017
Gave me keys to open 2018
When others couldn't

Its better i gave my life to you lord
