Better Days

Someone should have told us
Someone should have said something
There’s a warm wind blowing
Dark skies – troubling, troubling, troubling (fading)

Grew up believing
Fairytales and fantasies
Don’t believe them they’re deceiving
Life’s just happening, happening, happening (fading)

Things - they aint changing
Most things stay the same
You can choose to live in heaven
Or choose the same old every day

Nobody told us
Nobody told us a thing
Things they aint changing – they aint changing
Everything remains the same

All we can really hope for
Is better days

Better days

We work and, we work, and we work
Living out their dream
And we hurt, and we hurt, and we hurt
Never knowing our destiny

It’s always around the corner
Yet life’s is going round, and round, and round
You keep thinking tomorrow
Time lost – can’t be found, can’t be found, can’t be found (fade)

Things they aint changing
Most things just stay the same
You can choose to live in heaven
Or chose the same old every day

Nobody told us
Nobody told us a thing
Things they aint changing – they aint changing
Everything remains the same

All we can really hope for
Is better days

All we can really hope for
Is better days
