Better

Better a better world
Than one unmanned 
Better a better world
Than one unplanned

The bigger picture I see clear
Bigger things to come
The micro picture far too near
Bigger shocks to some

Hold the world up to your face
Broader strokes are mush
Hold your focus back a pace
Broader mind will rush

Breathing deeply joining hands
Appreciate and pray
Breathing softly on the sands
Appreciate and stay

Better mind that faces down
The challenge of the day
Better mind that holds its ground
The one that has its say

You can't go wrong with appreciation and prayer. Inspiring write, David! your tune is changing! (or should it be tone?) Perhaps both work fine. :)
