Betrayed
drowning in a golden dream,
cotton candy, silken cream,
gilded waves of peace and
prose, god of sun and warmth.
extinguished flame, but briefly
so, resting, while the tide is
low. pacing in a lucid ebb, and
flow of of yonder repeat.
flaxen ember, cerealuean
sparks, silent, now, in
whispered dark. oozing into
sacred spots...comforting the
wounded dead.
tempting the icy, moon
drenched soul, sharing bubbles,
champagne and more. opal
sand and incense petals, that
bind the hands that hold.
wings that cradle the tortured
shell, comfort and fold beneath
the swells. of all thats real, but
who are we? to question all
thats right.
jaded warrior, golden god.
sapphire soul and unwilling
bard. promise me just one
second more, of your breath,
your life, your soul.
meant to be, yet nevermore. a
subtle sigh, legend and lore.
light and life and air and
breath, where, before, was
none.
and forbid the shore where
footprints die.
curse the clouds which regret.
to cry.
and know, that as you fade
away,
for one, two, souls have been
betrayed.
