Betrayal Now Once Again
Betrayed by my own kin?
Surely her heart was not this unkind.
Betrayed thrice before, now once again.
She had clearly crossed the integrity line.
Her bumbling excuses were coarse,
Story-like lies, an unbelievable discourse.
A horrifyingly betraying force,
Would my broken heart heal ever?
I could feel the pieces crying after this endeavor.
When could I trust her? Possibly never!
My trust-forgiveness had to end for self to win.
For my own soul’s sake and peace of mind,
Cousins who love each other always, of course
But I am leery now, cautious, for my trust has been broken forever.
