Best of Times
Steam rising from the lake
excitement in their eyes
off to catch the big one
casting countless tries
checking all our gear
assured everything is right
these were the best of times
rising sun a pure delight
a good tension in the air
sons hoping for a strike
our boat drifting in the water
in search of northern pike
