Best of Friends - Revised

What if you're feeling down and out,
lonely and depressed.
What if it seems the world's against you,
when you feel you've done your best.

Please don't be disheartened,
I will never let you fall.
If faith and hope are fading fast,
I'll be at your beck and call.

I'd consider it my privilege,
were I allowed to be,
the one that you would turn to
any time you needed me.

Your pal, your bosom buddy,
your adviser and your friend,
someone you can count on
when you think you're at the end.

I'll be your "comfort in a storm",
a place you'll feel secure.
I'll help you find your peace of mind,
that I can assure!

So consider us the best of friends
and please do not despair,
cause any time you need me friend,
rest assured you'll find me there!
