Best of Friends

It's been a while,
Since he moved away,
I miss him so,
And wish he had stayed.

He writes now and then,
But never enough,
If we could just talk,
It would not be so tough.

I never did know,
What my feelings were,
But since he left,
I've become sure.

We were the best of friends,
He knew all my troubles,
When they seemed like mountains,
He'd decrease them to rubble.
